In 1969, Nathaniel “Red” Hallman attended Capital Barber College in West Columbia. Joining the owner of the barber college in 1972, Red became an instructor for the Kenneth Shuler’s School of Men’s Hairstyling in Columbia. The Kenneth Shuler’s School has won numerous national students hairstyling awards in New York. Red moved to Myrtle Beach in 1977 to work with Costa Brava. After working with Costa Brava for 11 years, Red decided to open his own salon in Myrtle Beach, located on Broadway Street, in 1988. Red coupled with Dr. Jack W. Markusen to form Red’s Cosmetic Dental Spa in February of 2003.

Orlando “Chico" Rivas is a 1976 graduate of the Kenneth Shuler Barber School located in Columbia. He has received hairstyling training from Allen International in London, England. In 1983, Chico relocated to Atlanta to work with Prime Cut in North Lake mall. He moved back to the Grand Strand in 1996 to work as a stylist and a chemical specialist with Red Hallman at Red’s Cosmetic Dental Spa. Chico is fluent in spanish. |
