Dr. Markusen prides himself on having an artistic approach to general and cosmetic dentistry as well as a focus on comprehensive dental care. Dr. Markusen uses top of the line technology to provide comprehensive dental care allowing him to perform "gentle dentistry" for each of his patients. He has been practicing dentistry in Horry County for 35 years, where he first opened up his practice in Conway, South Carolina. It has been 12 years since he relocated the DocMark team to the heart of Myrtle Beach.
Dr. Jack W. Markusen
Dr. Markusen received his undergraduate from the Baptist College of Charleston and is a graduate of the School of Dentistry from the Medical University of South Carolina. He's been a member of the American Dental Association, the South Carolina Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of Comprehensive Esthetics, as well as numerous others. He first opened his practice in Conway and had been practicing dentistry for almost 30 years before relocating his practice to the Myrtle Beach area and opening DocMark.
Kay
Kay is the financial coordinator for Dr. Markusen and has been a part of his dental team for nearly 20 years. Kay was a chairside dental assistant for the doctor in his practice in Conway before making the move with him to the most recent Myrtle Beach location. If you have any financial questions regarding your treatment, Kay will discuss your options with you. With her gentle and gracious manner, Kay will make certain you are comfortable and your needs are cared for.
Sherri
Sherri is Dr. Markusen's chairside dental assistant. Sherri is originally from Ohio, but moved to Myrtle Beach by way of California. Having worked with Dr. Markusen for over 6 years, Sherri has a gentle touch and consoling attitude even with our most anxious patients. With over 15 years of experience, Sherri has wonderful chairside manners; she will put you at ease as soon as you meet her.
Brianne Fortier
Brianne is the patient coordinator and office manager here at DocMark. She has been a Myrtle Beach resident for the past 20 years and is new to the practice. She has worked in the medical field for over eight years and enjoys working directly with patients. Brianne will be greeting you with a beautiful smile and welcoming you to our office as a new patient. She will answer any questions or concerns you may have regarding your scheduling and treatment with a soothing and pleasant manner.
